Conor McGregor Backs Mayweather Over Pacquiao
By Eddie Sanchez
Conor McGregor is choosing Floyd Mayweather to come out on top when he steps back into the ring this September against Manny Pacquiao.
Mayweather previously stopped McGregor in what was his final pro bout back in 2017.
Conor McGregor has long talked about wanting a rematch with Floyd Mayweather, even before the news broke of his former opponent’s return.
Reacting to the announcement of Mayweather vs. Pacquiao on his Instagram story, he doubled down on that stance, saying: “Floyd beats him easy.”
McGregor added, “See ya soon bro,” hinting that he still wants another shot at Mayweather.
McGregor’s UFC Return Isn’t Finalized
McGregor hasn’t been shy about his claims that he has an opponent in hand and has been ready for a contract for 15 days.
When asked for an update, Dana White shared, “If it was done and he had accepted, I would announce it.”
With speculation up in the air, McGregor kept the airwaves hot with his latest in training footage.
