Tyson Fury Cruises to Victory, Calls out Anthony Joshua
By Eddie Sanchez
Tyson Fury cruised to an easy unanimous decision victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov. Only one judge awarded a single round to Makhmudov, while all other rounds were awarded to the Gypsy King.
He moved with ease, his jab looked sharp, and his strength held together as Arslenbek attempted to make it a rough fit in the clinches.
At the end of the fight, while waiting for the official announcement, Fury pleaded with Anthony Joshua to jump in the ring. Joshua refused to jump in after repeatedly saying, “This is your moment.”
The drama continued as His Excellency claimed, “It’s time!” He called out to Eddie Hearn and Anthony Joshua to finally get the fight going, though neither of them jumped in the ring.
Fury continued the callout with an emphatic plea to his long-time rival. Joshua wouldn’t take the bait, but it’s clear that the powers that be clearly want this fight next.
Joshua wouldn’t answer Fury’s plea, though he did give a lengthy interview with Netflix, claiming that he’s interested, but wouldn’t go far enough to officially claim that it’s next. His answer was political, and probably not what Netflix executives or fans wanted, but it was honest.
Politics aside, this fight needs to happen, and it would be best if it happens next.
LET’S GET IT!
