Zuffa Boxing announced that it has signed Benn to a contract extension. The new promotional deal is for five fights and extends through 2028.

Benn (25-1, 14 KO) left Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing to sign a one-fight deal with Zuffa in February, which reportedly paid him $15 million. Following the win, Benn’s manager, Keith Connolly, told The Ring he was more than open to Benn signing another deal with Zuffa Boxing. He added that newly crowned WBC welterweight champion Ryan Garcia would be his preferred next opponent for Benn.

Benn, 29, last fought at welterweight in April 2022. He is nonetheless ranked No. 1 by the WBC in the 147-pound division.

Since resigning with Zuffa, Benn has not been shy about his desire to fight Ryan.
