Seanie Monaghan, Former WBC Continental Light Heavyweight Champ, Chats with The Bad Promoter
Seanie ‘Irish’ Monaghan is a Long Beach, New York native and runner up to Joe Smith Jr. in the 2009 New York Golden Gloves competition. In the professional ranks, the Light Heavyweight contender battled elite fighters like Marcus Brown, Sullivan Barrera, and Callum Johnson.
Seanie was very successful in the ring, with a pro record of (29-3). He was the former WBC Continental and NABO Light Heavyweight Champion, having won the WBC Continental Americas championship in 2012, which he defended seven times. He also famously portrayed Cassius Clay’s opponent, Henry Cooper, in the film, “One Night in Miami.
