Report Claims More Than 20 Million Illegally Streamed Usyk vs Fury
By Eddie Sanchez
According to the Daily Mail, at least 20 million people watched the undisputed heavyweight championship clash between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury through illegal streams.
This resulted in an estimated loss of 95 million euros in revenue for the broadcasters.
The May 18 fight, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, was a historic event as it marked the first time all four sanctioning body titles were contested in one heavyweight bout. Usyk won by points after 12 thrilling rounds.
With a rematch all but set for October, we can assume this 20-million figure will grow even further. Given the outcome of the first fight, anticipation will be very high.
