Nate Diaz’s contract with the UFC expired this past September, but it wasn’t until November 29th that he was officially removed from the UFC roster. Ladies and gentlemen, Nate Diaz is free to fight as he chooses.

If the Stockton legend would like to join Bellator or ONE Champion for a fight, he could do so. If he wants to join BKFC, there is nothing (or no one) holding him back. Most believe that boxing will be the next venture that Nate Diaz takes on – at least for his next immediate opportunity.

With boxing in mind, there are two options that stick out above the rest. Those are Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Jake Paul. There have been no previous rumors linking Diaz to Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather, but given that moniker, one should never discount Floyd from sniffing out a prize fight opportunity.

Jake Paul on the other hand…. There has been a ton of noise! Is there a Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz bout in our future? I sure hope so.

Does Nate Diaz answer Jake Paul’s largest criticism within the ring? Not at all – Jake Paul would need to fight a legitimate professional boxer, regardless of tenure, to begin quieting naysayers in that regard.

For what Nate Diaz lacks in skills, experience and professionalism, he more than makes up for it within the box office. Diaz and Paul also have a history of bickering that has gained momentum from the masses of cross-over boxing fans that should lead to a fair amount of PPV buys.

Jake Paul has done his part to pitch Nate Diaz as his future opponent, now it’s up to the man himself to make that final decision. This fight almost makes too much sense financially to not happen.
